I looked forward to this book for a long time after reading Martel's other work. I was worried that he didn't have another book as good as Self in him, but he did. Try reading this book without reading the thousand-and-one reviews already out about it.

Why did people like this book? The ending was SO frustrating. I was really annoyed. The whoke thing falls apart at the end, I felt ripped off.
