I read Shawn's first edition of this book, and I have yet to read the updated version of it, but I'm looking forward to seeing the changes.
I thought this was a good book over all, and a nice start to a new series. The ending was intense and I must admit I wasn't predicting it. I thought there was going to be a different ending so that was nice that it threw me for a loop.
Joel is my favorite character in this book, and the mystery about him made you want to keep turning the pages.

Do you have someone at your side who gives you comfort? Someone you can rely on and trust wholeheartedly? Not only Charlotte, our main character in this fantastic story, is going to ask herself this question. The reader as well will find himself thinking about themes like trust and friendship. I am not going into detail or spoil anything, you have to enjoy and read it on your own. Lets just say Charlotte has an encounter which is going to change everything and soon decisions are to make which ra ...more
I liked it, it kept me interested enough throughout that I didn't stop until the end.

Writing Volition has certainly been a process. When I first published it there were things that obviously needed to be tweaked and improved. Such is the bumpy and windy road of self-publication. However, I was BLESSED with a welcoming and warm readership. Over the past two, has it really been that long??? Anyway...over the years, I have received great feedback from readers who were both satisfied and dissatisfied, as well as in need of just a little something more. So I pooled the re ...more

Volition is a romance novel wrapped up in an angora sweater, to be savored like a warm fire and a cup of hot cocoa on a rainy day.
Charlotte is a girl longing for more and when it comes, it's like a blessing from on high. Joel is everything a girl could ask for and more, but like the mysterious new man in her life, there's more going on in Charlotte's world than meets the eye, including a mystery and a breathtaking twist. So cuddle up with this book and enjoy a wonderful read. Highly recommended!
