This was weird going in. I found moments of this very interesting story to be stilted, and trying too hard. Self-parody is always great, but those moments were spotty, not thematic, so a little distracting. Eliza I grew to love, and honestly, was a very interesting person to meet. Recommends it for: Austen adorers
I just devoured this book. Jane Austen fans will eat this one up. So sweet. The romance between the two modern-day characters wasn't quite what I thought it would be, but it did the trick. So what if time-travel isn't real? This is a book for romantics and people willing to believe. Darcy can be real!
All I can say is that I did not like this book at all. Poorly written, predictable and just plain dull. :-)
The twist is cheesy, but I love the theory...what if Mr. Darcy was real?! I should reread this one.
A little unrealistic, but still an enjoyable read.
