Since this novel has been reviewed to death I will state that I enjoyed most aspects of this novel. It was like walking through an enchanted world that was made up of mysterious people. I never got the sense that I really knew much about Marco or Celia outside of doing magic. Who were these people? The middle of the novel kinda slowed to a halt for me and I became much more interested in Bailey and his home life. Overall it's a well-written novel and I hope that Morgenstern doesn't disappoint on ...more
Enchanting, dazzling, magical... These are only a few words to describe The Night Circus. It is one of the few captivating books that I have read over the years. With a mysterious beginning that hooks the reader's interest to an indescribably satisfying ending, this story used up every element of a successful book. It is a definite recommendation to everyone who could spare two days doing nothing else but reading as its plot will keep you wanting more...
Whoa. Whoa x a million. That was crazy cool, my friends.

The creativity and imagination that went into this book is amazing. The writing was impeccable. Oh, it was beautiful, it was clever, it was endearing and wonderful, and I'm sad to leave the characters behind.

There is a circus. A circus sewn with threads of magic and is only open in the black of night. There are contributors. Some that have an idea of the real magic that is fueling the best of their circus, and some who don't. There are two
This book was enchanting and mysterious. It's the story of two (?) old magicians who groom proteges to challenge each other in feats of magic. The venue for the competition is a circus that is open only at night. I loved the characters, I was very upset at one of the deaths, I was fascinated by the descriptions of the circus attractions.
This was the strangest book I've ever read! Strange but compelling.
I just don't know what else to say except you need to read this for yourself to understand what I mean!
My mind is boggled....
Re-reading for book club, this time I'm reading it instead of listening to the audio.

Finally decided this book isn't for me... I'm sorry, as I think the writing is beautiful. And the idea also. It's just moving too slow for my tastes...
