What Members Thought

SweetPea
This was 2 1/2 stars. There were some interesting ideas in the book, but it was overly wordy and seemed to strive for the most arcane word to use to convey something, rather than a much simpler, but still educated word. But overall, this was a fairly quick read and was well-organized.
David
It was a good book with a very interesting premise.
Dave Wilson
"America feels broken." The opening line of the book is a restatement of the all-too-familiar feeling of almost everyone in the country. Hayes goes on to show with insight and stunning clarity just how broken America really is when it comes to one of her defining characteristics: Meritocracy.
