After a promising beginning, I found the book and the characters simply fell flat for me. I didn't find it particularly original. The pacing was ponderous. I know some folks loved this book, but it wasn't for me.
patty
loved this, exciting, beautify written storry
Lonnie
very good but a little put off with the sudden timeline change. It took me a little while to get back into it after the first section. Some elements were exciting and interesting and others seemed to drag but overall a very good read although I am not overly interested in reading any of the sequeals if/when they are written.
Heather
It definitely dragged in parts, and needed some more editing, but for a good ol' fashioned, post-apocolyptic fantasy-type book along the lines of The Stand, it's pretty solid.
