If you liked Good in Bed, and Jennifer Weiner in general, you'll LOVE this one. Shockingly funny, as only Weiner can do, and full of twists and turns that will leave you page-turning until the very end. Satisfying like nothing else I've ever read, really. Very cute.

"I have to admit that I would read Jennifer Weiner's grocery lists I'm pretty sure -- so if you have enjoyed her other books, I believe you won't be disappointed with Certain Girls. I enjoyed how the story was told from different perspectives, and the overall pace of the story was great. I enjoyed the character development of Cannie's daughter - but I was sad to see how Cannie became middle aged (as many of us do...myself included) and I did ponder that a bit -- a good book gives you a chan...more

I don't generally give four or more stars to what I refer to as my "Guilty Pleasure Reads," but I particularly liked this one as it struck a cord with me as a daughter and now as a mother of my own daughter, so I felt both sides of the story line. Not only that, but this one was particularly sad to me and maybe I just enjoyed her exploring a darker emotion as most of Weiner's books tend to lean more towards the funnier side of things.

It was great having Cannie back... Even if it was just for a couple of days;) I thought the book was fun (well, for the most part - at least:) - It was interesting to see the story develop from Cannie's daughter's perspective. I think that motherhood had mellowed Cannie - and she wasn't nearly as "FIESTY" as she was in the original book. But still, a thoroughly enjoyable read!!!!

Started out loving this book. I was VERY disappointed by the ending, but then I got over it. Be prepared to have some tissues ready!
