The information about the space program(s) was fascinating; even the esoteric details I enjoyed. What I really disliked was the folksy, condescending tone the author took in writing the book. I think she was trying to keep the book light and entertaining, but was mostly just annoying. PLEASE write in complete sentences and do not write like you might talk. PLEASE include both a subject and a verb in your sentences.

I enjoyed this book very much! Mary Roach cracks me up. I loved learning about the various little pieces that we don't normally think about going into sending people into space. I love that she focuses on the mundane but makes it quirky and entertaining. This book is a really fun, quick read that I'd recommend to most any one.

I have the electronic very and you do miss a lot of her funny stories because they don't include her footnotes. So, my big recommendation is that you buy this one in paper
