This is the second book of The Drake Chronicles by Alyxandra Harvey. Hearts at Stake (Book 1) was an instant follower for many. With a book of so much action, emotion, and humor it was a winner from page one. I have been waiting for Blood Feud seen completing my ARC of Hearts at Stake, and was ecstatic when I also received the ARC for the second installment. The second book in the Drake Chronicles is just as action-packed and pull of romance as the first.

Blood Feud picks up almost immediately where My Love Lies Bleeding left off with the vampire world reeling and in political turmoil. As in the first book, I found the vampire politics and the different divisions a little confusing. It took me a while to remember who was who and from where, but once I did, I flew through it.

Alyxandra Harvey’s The Drake Chronicles are what I call my guilty pleasures. Much like the first one, it’s a nice, enjoyable read that’ll make you laugh and feel good.

This story is told through Logan and Isabeau’s point of views. Logan is a Drake and honestly, most all the same. Logan, though, dresses nicer, more like he’s living in the 1800s. This fits in well with Isabeau who turned into a vampire 200 years ago. Isabeau is a guarded character since she’s been through qite a lot. I loved that...more

Blood Feud was a decent follow up to Hearts At Stake. In the first book, the story was told from Lucy's and Solange's perspectives while Blood Feud introduced Logan and Isabeau. I have mixed feelings about these characters. I was a huge fan of Lucy and Solange and I caught myself missing them throughout the book. They made appearances but mainly played a background role.
