This is a lovely book with a rich enough story. I felt like I didn't get to know the characters as much as I'd like to, but I did get the essence of them and cared about how things turned out for them. I love stories that integrate folk tales and this one did that interestingly. There were parts of the story that were hard to follow, but I trusted that it would all make sense in the end and it did.

I was tempted to read THE STORM IN THE BARN again yesterday. I gave in to temptation. It just gets better and better with each read.
