It was really fun. It's an origin story about how Ivy and Rachel first started working together, told from Ivy's perspective. The story is great, really intriguing. A graphic novel is a grest medium for capturing Ivy's fears and longings in a powerful way, it works well. Rachel's stubbornness, enthusiasm and energy come across well too. I like that it isn't just a fluffy story to sell books, it's a significant story with a lot of history and meaning for the series. Harrison is adding a layer to ...more

I agree with Stephanie, the Kim Harrison story part is awesome as usual, but the art is just...meh. The difference is especially noticeable in the sketch notes at the end, where you can read what Kim tells the artist she wants, then see how the artist decided to completely ignore her. It's been sitting on my desk now for a few weeks and imagine my surprise when I opened it yester

Okay, being Kim Harrison's story, I would have given it all 5 stars. Sadly, the art was not so good. In fact I think the art took away something from the story. Even so, I still love me some Kim Harrison. <3

Wow! I loved the ilistrations. The characters were pretty darn close to how I pictured them. And I loved how Ivy and Rachel weren't turned into big boobed, tiny waisted Barbie dolls. Very nice.

I liked this story, but I have to say that I don't really care for the graphic novel format (in general).
