I think I have a professional crush on Deborah Madison. My husband (the chef) always told me how much he loved her writing and I hadn't had much of a chance to delve in previously. After a summer of going to the farmer's market every week I felt I was really missing out on what to do with all those beautiful vegetables so I've been turning to cookbooks like this one to better inform my home experiments. This is so comprehensive it is overwhelming. I do use it a fair amount, but I find Local Flavors and The Savory Way to be a little more approachable.
