This is a great addition to the Black Dagger Brotherhood series but do not read it until you have read the first 6 books of the series. Trust me….you don’t want to spoil any of the actual books.

This book provides “behind the pages” look at the Brotherhood. It includes interviews with each Brother including Wrath, deleted scenes, direction on where the series will be going next and J.R. Ward breaks down each of the 6 books to explain the who, what, where, how and why of each of the stories and wh

This is actually a very interesting book, but I believe it was most interesting to me because of two things: the short story of Z and Bella at the beginning (approximately 80 pages) and the author's comments and stories about her being an author. The short story is interesting because it's sexy and it reminds me how much I love this series. The author's experiences and commentary on being an author were interesting to me as a writer. The rest of the book was deleted scenes, detailed descriptions ...more

I have to start by saying that I usually HATE companion books. Why waste time reading what I already know when I'd rather have a new story? With this book I think Ward gave a good combination of old and new. I loved the novella at the beginning about Bella and Z (even thought, we kinda already knew how it ended thanks to the epilogue at the end of LAwakened. I also really enjoyed getting Ward's insight into how the brother's came to be. I was really surprised that Ward had such a hard time with ...more

Awesome compilation of bits in the BDB world. Several points I was laughing out loud (V's interview questions, the message board threads...)

I want to read the whole series start to finish again right now... even though I just finished it a day ago!

A very helpful guide for me, who just discovered the world of vampires!

I've never been a huge fan of this type of book. The short story, Father Mine, was very good. I also enjoyed some of the interviews with the brothers and additional bits that show more of their personality. I really like Ward's writing, but I just don't give a fig about her writing process, etc. I skipped over big chunks of this book due to that. I'd rather she just kept cranking out the novels than fill time with books like this.

Worth if for the Bella & Z story alone. Also includes fun message board antics as well as some slices of life stories (I think most of these can be found on Ward's website). If you're just a casual fan I would suggest just downloading Z & Bella's story and reading others online. However, if like me, you love the Brothers, then this is a must have.

A must read for "The Black Dagger Brotherhood" series lovers.
This will bring you closer to the brothers and see how they are in between the books. :)

This is worth reading for anyone that is a fan of the Brotherhood series. There is a good update story on Zsadist and Bella.
