I like the human characters in this series - but as I've mentioned before Ward's definition of Heaven is seriously humanized. Heaven is not just like Earth - it's better (otherwise, why would we want to go there). She has Hell being worse, so shouldn't Heaven be better? Ugh. I can't get on board with her theology and it seriously bogs down the story. I don't think I'd keep reading, except they still tie in with BDB. I have stopped buying though, so at least it's saving me money.
The Romantic Scientist
My favorite in the series so far. My full review is here: http://scienceofromance.blogspot.com/...

I think this is the best book of the series so far! I really liked the different story lines going on and how she wove in some elements of the Brotherhood book. There's even mention of a black Escalade speeding down the highway and one of the new vampires in the series makes an appearance at the end of the book.

Another enjoyable read in this series although I must admit that I didn't feel like the romance was as strong in this one, but the storyline was a good one. The middle dragged a bit for me but I carried on and wound up glad I read it.
