Even though it's a translation, the author's effective prose quite stands out and captivates you. I'm at that point of the book where Jakob (the young waiter) initiates the relationship with Erneste (the older waiter). Sulzer is so good in his writing style that you can even imagine Jakob's silky armpit hair getting wet with the little patches of sweat on the young waiter's underarms while being fitted at the tailors.

I'm still on page 69. 'Will keep you posted....
