When I started this book, I thought I would really like it. The beginning was very compelling, but it ended up being such a chore to read. There were some "good parts", but over all it was not very enjoyable. I was hoping for a good scare, but it wasn't at all scary. There's no doubt that the concept was interesting, and the writing techniques were very unique, but the gimmicks weren't enough to make it a solid read.
