A slow starter. I wasn't sure if we'd ever arrive at the heart of the mystery or the point of the book, but once the mystery of not only the murder but the history of the characters began to emerge the book went from mildly interesting to captivating. A great deal of background was offered in this outing but there is a great deal more to uncover and I found the book just a bit spookier than I imagined but only slightly so - nothing to keep you awake a night. This was the best cosy crime I have read in a while. It was great fun, with interesting characters, a fast moving plot and an intriguing premise. I can't wait for the next in the series.

This book was a total bust. So much potential and it turned out being a big "so what?". Character too dense for belief, not grasping what she was and what was going on around her. The book was totally throw-across-the-roomable dozens of times!
