If I learned something by reading this book was to never, EVER, cross a Camorri.

Crooked Warden! But there was some action in this book: pirate raids, fights at sea, prison breaks, a mutiny, vengeance, rappelling down cliffs and buildings, fights to the death, cheating at cards, double crossings, deceptions, schemes and everything you would expect out of the Gentlemen Bastards, all spiced with a healthy dose of humor, staggering violence and lots of style. I really liked the first book and was looking forward to this one. Though at times it was rather slow, I totally loved it! As convoluted as Locke and jean spin things, it amazes me when they fail. With all the effort , time and money (which is truly incredible) that they put into the Sinspire caper, it was rather disappointing to see (view spoiler) These guys just can't catch a break. If I could give Scott Lynch all the stars, I would. No stars left for anyone else, Scott Lynch has them all. Scott Lynch is giving himself a hard time, because my expectations for his next book The Thieves Republic make the Sinspire itself look like a thimble.
