Master Nolan is most talented at coaxing the desired response from his subs. Beth is a wounded one--physically and mentally abused by her Dom/husband for 2 years--head Dom at the Shadowlands, Master Z is not sure any Dom will be able to bring her back around. Master Nolan is up for the challenge! Wow! He sure has a knack for giving her what she needs--even when *she* doesn't know what she needs.

Oh! I must confess that I was wrong...(Gasp)...if you read any of my previous Shadowland reviews, I m

This is the perfect story of "finding Mr. Right." After running from an abusive husband, Beth can't find anyone to meet her needs. She knows she needs someone strong and dominant, but is struggling with the line between dominance and abuse. Nolan immediately recognizes the signs of abuse and Beth's need to be able to trust people again. Even though Nolan doesn't want the responsibility of taking care of Beth and breaking down her walls, he can't seem to walk away from the challenge.

I've decided that this series is the "comfort food" version of BDSM romance. Not too hard, not too soft, (not too kinky,) just right. It's the kind of read you save for a slow burn, not for a quick & dirty inferno. *evil grin*

Yeah I flew through two more Masters of the Shadowlands books in a day. I am loving the series in so many ways. The basic plot of the books are the same, but the different Dom perspective of them is great. The only thing that I would do different is to have more than one book per Dom. One book is only enough to whet the appetite and then to move to a new Dom so quickly doesn't sate the need for more.
