The Last Victim is my first novel by Karen Robards. It is a non-stop page-turning paranormal romance filled with suspense.
An excellent fast-paced tale of murder, FBR profilers and psychics.

I enjoyed the characters both living and dead and hope to see them in future novels.

I look forward to the sequel of this book and also plan to read her romantic suspense novels.

The Last Victim by Karen Robards is the first book in her new Dr. Charlotte Stone series. Although Robards is an established author in the romantic suspense genre, this is the first book of hers that I have read. As such, I am not sure that it was the best book for me to start with. For one, I like romantic suspense that is a bit more heavy on he suspense than the romance. In the end, there were things about this book that I really liked, and some that bothered me.

Dr. Charlotte Stone is a survi

This book frustrated me so much. It started out good, I liked how Charlie took a horrific event and then decided to do something to maybe stop the same thing happen to others. I liked her studying killers to learn more about them. I even liked how Charlie was forced into helping the FBI.

What really turned me off was the romance between the killer, Garland, that Charlie was studying. Why you asked, well, first off he was convicted of killing 7 girls, that alone should turn her off, no matter how

Although I wasn't completely comfortable with the romantic aspect of this book, I did enjoy it, and look forward to the next installment in the series. I really liked the character of Charlotte Stone, and I liked Tony Bartoli. Michael Garland was more difficult to relate to, but he had his moments. I liked the fast paced storyline, and was kept entertained throughout the book.

Dr. Charlotte Stone's personal nightmare from her teen years seems to be back. A teenaged girl has been kidnapped and her

I have to say I'm surprised how much I liked this book. I love the mystery this book had right to the end.

The premise of this book is a little off the beaten path: a psychiatrist who specializes in serial killers is consulting with the FBI on a current case while she's being stalked by the oddly corporeal ghost of a serial killer (whom only she can see and hear of course). It's a good mystery/thriller spiced up with some paranormal romance. I don't usually like romance in my mysteries but this was a bit different and rather entertaining. I enjoyed the book.
