San Diego Feminist Book Group

[close] Meetings are typically held on the third Monday of the month at 6:30pm at Progressive Health Services in North Park. Our next meeting will be January 16; see event details below.

We will read promiscuously from a variety of feminist camps including 2nd wave, 3rd wave, sex-positive feminism, anti-porn feminism, black feminism (also called womanism coined by Alice Walker), lesbian feminism, transgender rights, the riot grrrl movement, third world feminism, radical feminism, eco feminism, post-modernist feminism, women's suffrage, etc. We're going to look at feminism from a big picture perspective and then we're going to take a fine-tooth comb and look for the feminism that is hidden under a rock in the corner. No feminist subject will be taboo!
