description	Kids Need to Read started this group as a place to discuss the books on its official donation list, brainstorm new ways to inspire reading among children, and meet other people interested in promoting literacy. Kids Need to Read is a literacy foundation established by children's author PJ Haarsma and actor Nathan Fillion. KNTR raises funds to donate books for children and teenagers to underfunded schools and libraries. Books are also given to other nonprofit institutions who serve children. The Foundation is supported by a global group of passionate volunteers. Their dream is to get more books into the hands of the children who need them.
