How much importance do you place on reviews?
I rarely let a review influence me.
If it is an author I know and like, I buy the book no matter what the review(s).
I pay close attention to reviews from my GR friends, with similar taste. What they didn't like may be something I do like and I'll buy the book, but I pay attention to their reviews.
I have so many GRs friends I can't keep up with their reviews, so I pay attention to what is said in groups.
If a book has a lot of 5 star ratings, I don't read reviews; I just buy it.
I read the synopsis and if I like the book, I buy it. Reviews be damned!
