Tolstoy's article is called "About Shakespeare and about drama". I would say word "hate" is not exactly correct. as far as I remember main point why he didn't like Shakespeare is that his characters don't have unique voice (as Tolstoy thought), they all speak like one person - Shakespeare himself. And Тolstoy found that voice rather mannered. Also he blaimed Shakespeare for adopting plots not inventing them by himself. Tolstoy believed that artificially made Shakespeare's plays more of a mosaic then poetry or art.
