Top of the World - The Carpenters This song isn't cheery! It's creepy.

Yep, the fat content was high...oh well...honest mistake...lucky I did an hour at the gym this morning...
Ha...Gus...that made me laugh...yes...bad timing...I had already sent the package when she said Eno freaked her out...but...goes into secret musical lab, looks for Joy Division's Closer, makes her a copy
I kind of miss albums with sides. But I don't miss albums. They were a pain in the ass.Pros: cover art, sides
Cons: scratches, warps, bends, having to change songs/sides manually.
What am I missing?

Oh, I'm with you, KD...I love that record.Gus, yes, that one would be better for Jackie, I agree. Unfortunately, I sent her Sigur Ros' "()" instead, which will probably lead to tears before track three....
Yes, MJ = great player but a bad talent evaluator...who was that big kid he drafted a couple years ago....
I saw Faith No More about a million years ago at Metro in Chicago. All I remember is they closed with a cover of "War Pigs". Good show.
The harder part is deciding what to bring on vacation, when I'll be locked into my choices! I'm downloading a few spares onto my ipod, but I think I can only get away with dragging a paperback or two -preferably ones I can leave.
Eek. That's pressure.
I tend to let the books find me, if that makes sense...isn't it weird how the right book finds you at the right time more often than not? Although I did recently have a spell when I started the Ellroy to which I was looking forward and just wasn't in the mood. That threw me off.
Nick Cave's got a new one out, too, Gus...I've got to get around to reading House of Leaves...
Yes, I hear you...I'm like..."Who the hell is this, and why is it on my Ipod?" or..."Oh...forgot I had this..."
Yes, we get wild turkeys all over the place here, and they're weird and spazzy. And they cross the road pretty much whenever they feel like.Today I had tofurky Italian sausages and found them lovely until I realized they had 270 calories each. Shit! Too late. Already ate them. But they were good.

I think I'm going to win my football pool this week because I accidentally picked both the Chiefs and the Raiders.
So you working this week? How much? If you're in school, how much school is taking place?
I'm teaching this morning and hanging out most of the afternoon, I think, and tomorrow morning I'm out in the schools for a couple of hours. My kids' school ends tomorrow at 12 but my wife has school through Wednesday so I'm with the kids. Most of the people around her canceled classes after tomorrow afternoon although technically we're supposed to teach through Wednesday at noon. Every skips Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, however, so those become "work days". The staff won't be working hard, either...I get the feeling Wednesday around here with be dead.
What about you? Are you working this week? What's your workplace like Thanksgiving week?
Way, way warm for late November in Wisconsin. 50 this morning when I was out running. I don't see any high lower then the upper thirties for the next ten days, either.
Ha...some people were just talking about this on a book thread. I either quit really early or finish, most of the time, but I've become less patient as I get older too, Mary.
