haha. I went and read about them on goodreads. I think this is just my way of admitting laziness. I like to call it good time management though.
Thanks for adding the polls. We have some good choices. I thought a good addition might be to add links to the books in the description.
My favorites were Never Let Me Go and Decline and Fall. Both were very different, but very great!!Least favorite were The Ground Beneath Her Feet and Glamorama. I liked parts of both of these but overall they just weren't my thing.
Just finished Frankenstein. It was very fun to read especially since I haven't seen the movie or anything. I cam at it with no idea what it was really about.
You should try putting the new book pics up on polls for voting. I don't now how it works since I'm not an administer for a site but it seems like it would be a fun way to do it.
I thought "Decline and Fall" by Evelyn Waugh was pretty funny. I picked it up at the library, recognizing the title from the list. Other than that I didn't know what to expect. That made it even better.
I also agree that Douglas Adams and Nick Horny are great reads.
Here are my votes:September: Book of Illusions
October: A Clockwork Orange
November: The Mysteries of Udolpho
I don't believe anyone has mentioned the The Bartimaeus Trilogy by Jonathan Stroud. It was a lot of fun.
I just finished The New York Trilogy and last week I finished Never Let Me Go.
I really enjoyed both of these novels. I probably wouldn't have appreciated them as much before taking a literature class, but now I am learning to appreciate post-modern and contemporary literature.
