I'm new to this, but it bothers me that the list seems to be changing. So if I start, I might not be able to finish because of changes? Why is it changing, anyway? The list has changed somewhat because a new edition of the book came out rather recently. Some books from the old list were taken off to include some new books in the update.
Could someone who has both lists post what books are taken off the old list, and what has been added? I am very curious.
I usually have a fiction and a non-fiction going at the same time. And I keep short-story or essay anthologies in my desk to read during short breaks at work. AND I usually have some sort of audiobook that I'm in the middle of at the gym. That sounds like a lot but I make sure everything is a different genre so I don't confuse myself.
American Pastoral by Philip Roth. The first part was a bit difficult to wade through (very wordy and dense), but it picks up in Part II and it less of a ramble. I'm liking it so far.
Oh how funny. I've just started reading this one, before I even joined this group. What timing!I'm on Part III right now. So far, with I and II read, I'm finding that there are chapters that I love, and others that I'm totally not into and sort of end up half-skimming.
