"Probably because I'll just get in a ton of fights with them. "You live in an area where people are mostly very religious?
Don't listen to that. You shouldn't hide what you are because she's afraid of what people will think.
"Because, I mean, if we came from apes how did there become Chinese people and Mexicans, because I do not recall there being apes that look Chinese."Come back when you know something about how evolution works.
"1931359 I think that "in God we trust" is fine, because you don't have to believe it. And same go's for "under God". I think that we should say Under Satan, but that's okay because you don't really have to believe in him.
This is what you sound like. Under God is a slap in the face to the 15% of Americans who don't believe in God. What kind of fucking country alienates their third largest minority?
That would mean you would want every single person you love to die as well. Humanity is such an easy term to throw around that way, but humanity is comprised of the good people and the bad people.
"the belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power,"Worship of a defined power. A higher power.
"I honestly can't believe that you hate religion because of lack of SCIENTIFIC evidence. There must be something deeper then that causing this hate. Roisu hates Christianity because of the negative effects it has in Ireland. you hate religion because of lack of found evidence. (you are missing something)."
I hate it because it dismissed logic and evidence in favor of blind faith.
No, it's a statistic. Thats why young male insurance rates in the US are more than young female. They get into more accidents, and they're worse accidents. It's a proven facts. http://www.cars-insured.net/femalevsmale...
It's true. Statistically, young male drivers get into 4 times as many accidents as young female drivers.
"You think they casted Taylor for his muscles? Ha! They almost replaced him because he didn't have any. He worked for those to keep his job."Apparently he had to gain 30 pounds of muscle for the part. That's insane.
"But, public schools aren't the place where this is going to happen. Public schools are funded by the government. The government, because of the separation of church and state, (supposedly) doesn't favor any particular religious tradition. (But you can't buy alcohol on Sundays in some states...hmmm) If kids come home wanting to learn more about non-Christian traditions, tons of parents will complain, and some will say the school isn't teaching about religion objectively. And the school will be sued."Actually, if the school doesn't favor any, than learning about all is a legitimate process, and the lawsuit has no base, it couldn't win.
"Also, there is a world of difference between teaching kids, in a cultural context, that religions exist, and teaching kids certain religious beliefs under the guise of science."
Religion in a history room is taught under the idea that it's important to history. No way would it be allowed in a biology room.
"They also did not want me in the classroom with lots of questionable influences."i.e., they want you to be sheltered. Once you're shoved into the real world, you have a lot of skill you'll need to learn real fast, or live with your parents the rest of your life.
"It's also great that you are an independent learner, but you get a lot of educational opportunities at public schools (or even private!). Especially when you have the connections of teachers. You are also learning how to work with others and with professors, a very important trait!"
There aren't homeschools for PhDs. What happens when you go away to college? You'll binge on having no parents around and all this freedom, and get into trouble because you've had your parents all your life looking out for you.
