Hmm...but thats what almost all religion stems from -- faith. Believing in souls is having faith in something that might seem incorrect and might remain unexplained for decades.
I think brains are for persoanlities, thought process, the act of living, etc. Souls are our emotion and goodness. You don't need a soul to be alive, but I believe all humans have them.
Then again, I think the idea of a soul is a little different to everyone.
Oh, and responding to posts a few pages back, I'm not paranoid in the least, I'm just too smart to think it a good idea to give out my address online. And why should I be chastised for it? Is there something wrong with exercising caution when it comes to safety? In that area, a lot of you are extremely immature. YOu guys can do whatever the hell you want, but when I choose to be smart, don't make fun of it.
And no, Davis, this is not whining in the least.

I was responding to the others who kept on thinking I was a raging moron who proposes flat tax because they never read my posts. The latter part was directed at you.
I have the feeling that if you guys had internet predators trailing you, you might share my cautious attitude.

I know you are 12 and you live in Brooklyn and you are the child of Mos Def, are sort of aetheist-muslim, attend NYU but are otherwise homeschooled by a program that I forgot the name of but could find if I weren't too lazy. That is a lot of information given to total strangers.

You guys fail to understand what I am really talking about -- I'm not saying tax everyone a fair and equal amount, that is ludicrous, I am saying for every 20,000 that a person makes, 4,000 should be paid in taxes and for every 100,000, 20,000 should be paid in taxes (for example).
On a different note, taxation has nothing to do with gratitude. The higher tax rate is penalizing the rich just because they had better circumstances where they worked harder. Let me tell you, the circumstances part is merely the luck of the draw. If one dedicates every spare minute one has to working hard, they too can become wealthier and rise above circumstance.
In my opinion, many people think the wealthy are greedy multi-millionaires who only got where they did by luck, who live in complete grandeur and have millions to spare. Yes, some are like that, but not all. And furthermore, they should have no obligation to give a portion of their money to the poorer -- it is theirs and they should choose what to do with it.
And out of curiosity, are you for free market or isolationism?
Liz, it just isn't something you share with internet group teenagers. My business, completely and entirely. And it doesn't matter, my opinion would be this regardless.
Liz wrote: "it kinda does matter. "No, it is my business and definitely not something I will be sharing.
Nathan wrote: "It doesn't matter how rich I am, I just care about equality. You must not. A person who makes $20,000 per year getting charged $5,000 in taxes is not truly equal to a person who makes $100,000 pe..."
Is that the taxation system I proposed? No, it goes like this;
20,000 -- 4,000 in taxes
100,000 -- 20,000
1,000,000 -- 200,000
I did not ever say "equal taxes" I said "equal percentage". For some reason many of you have a hard time grasping that.
My income is my business (and I don't mean to appear rude, dear, just making a point). It doesn't matter how rich I am, I just care about equality.
Awwww.....more whining from Liz? I'm not surprised. Stay out of the deep end of the pool little Liz.
This isn't whining, this is cracking down hard on those who make slanderous comments towards others and disregard rules. You are unbelievably immature, Nathan, and I hope Chandani does something about it.
Chan, I thought there were rules regarding swearing? Can't Nathan get a strike or something for being so rude and vulgar towards those who disagree with him?
Davis wrote: "Liz wrote: "Well yes, that is the slight flaw. Everything is so twisted now that any dramatic change restoring equality would be destructive. "So you think those who are poor should sacrifice a..."
Is that what I said? I did not say equal money, I said equal percentage.
And you obviously don't have an inkling of commonsense. You shouldn't lie like that.
I don't have an inkling of commonsense? Huh well you do know me very well so you definitely are in a position to judge.
