OK so I finished Smashed and forgot to update myself... ANd this is the end of my challenge.
Its been a year, I set a goal of 50 books, and grossly underestimated my thirst for reading.
As you can see....
I made it all the way to 73!!!
Aww, Poor Lennie. Its still sad the second time around.
About to dive into--
Book72:Odd Hours -Koontz
Ugh! No more Bronte for me. Yeck!
Book71:Of Mice and Men - Steinbeck
(a reread for a myspace group, I read this back in HS)
Oscar Wao was not so wow, as just 'oh'.
Starting--
Book70:Wuthering Heights - Bronte
(yup, made it this far thru life without having read it!!)
Logan, i added Monster Island and the rest of the series to my tobuy list... I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. How was Plague Zone? Thats a stand alone novel, is it not?
Haa haa... Yea I know, but Im not done yet really... I have until Sept 24th... Then I am going to start a new one!!!
Can you believe that I forgot to update my list... Oh No!
I had finished YotDoRR this past weekend. And started tucking into:
Book69: Brief Wonderous Life of Oscar Wao
Finished Child of God yesterday

Book66:Turn of the Screw- Henry James
In case anyone is wondering, no I havent forgotten to update this thread. no I havent gone off reading for awhile. I am still reading Brothers Karamazov, and am about 550 pages into. I really really like the novel, but cant seem to find the time to sit and invest in it lately. Summer sure is keeping my family and I busy....
Phew!
I hate it when a book just sort of ....ends....
Havent decided what to read next. Will figure it out in the morning!
whoda thunk a short book like The Pearl would take me the better part of three days? It's all because of work, I swear!
Reading now--
Book64:Lancelot - Walker Percy
Wow, Kristen, you must be a huge Lost fan! I feel like a blind person for not having seen those connections. I think I was looking for something deeper and totally missed the obvious!
Finished Laughter in the Dark.
Onto--
Book63: The Pearl - Steinbeck
Not sure why Heart of Darkness is on the Lost Lit List.. if its linked to the show, its not easy to identify why.
Going to Start--
Book62:Laughter In The Dark - Nabokov
Sorry. I forgot to update, between coming back from vacation and wroking this weekend... I finished this novel three days ago. Wow. wow wow wow.
