"Pontypool Changes Everything" by Anthony (Tony) Burgess (Not the Clockwork Orange Anthony Burgess). A great little story about "Zombieism" being a result of a virus that is transmitted by language, so you have to be vewy, vewy, quiet. Bruce Macdonald made a movie based on it last year.
