<Need to go & see what happens to Opal & Janco next!>
Need to pick up my copy. Will call the Poisoned Pen tonight.
Oddly, only 1 copy for my whole Library system - I protest!
Wow! This looks fantastic! Can't wait to read it!
Amelia, think about all the fresh Ixia & Sitia stories Maria will come up with while working on her other universe - those ideas have a way of sneaking in when she's not looking!
Donna wrote: "I've previously signed up for three other Fire giveaways, all of them so far had huge amounts of entries and were chosen by random drawing. It seems like this is a very in-demand ARC!So I had the..."
I really like Donna's idea! The person who wins gets to keep it. If considered, do add me to the list (I read quickly).
I finished my copy, too. Ready to discuss when you are! Yes, loved it. Ready for sequel! Loved seeing Yelana from third person viewpoint!
I attended (see tour comment). There were about 10 attendees plus 2 staff who asked some very good questions.Must say I was hoping to meet some of you. I called out "who's here from Study Buddies?" and the other ladies looked at me like I was mad. Was able to encourage a woman who drove from Prescott (60 miles away) to join both Goodreads/Studybuddies.
It was a relaxed format and we all were able to ask questions about the books as well as have discuss her books. My friend & I had a fantastic time. Well worth taking a personal day off work!
Had a wonderful afternoon meeting Maria today. She really is the person she presents herself to be online. Gracious, excellent sense of humor, and incredibly interesting. Maria's depth of research really shows through when discussing everything from glass making to food tasting. Moreover, she's passionate to learn more. On her free time, she stopped by the Phoenix Botanical Gardens & learned about Arizona flora as well as admired the works of glass artist Chihuli.
Most of all, she's real. Maria is a Mom who happens to have the fortune of a career writing books. Her good fortune is my good fortune. Looking forward to a long & successful career (and more visits to Arizona!)
Would be interested in discussing the strengths & weaknesses of Zoe Redbird in the House of Night series by Cast. Extremely interested in discussing Stormglass!
Alli wrote: "Yay winners!! :) Don't delay in telling us what you think about Storm Glass! "Without the details. I want to experience Glass for myself!
Gisela wrote: "It's sad when authors behave that way. They forget that they owe everything to us, the readers. What good is a book that isn't read?"I'm not naming any names of who the jerks are. I'll rave about the nice ones anytime.
Alli wrote: "I'll probably be at the Poison Pen Tracy! :) It'll be a Maria kind of week; regular signing at the Pen and then dinner and shmoozing with chb! Sounds like a fun week to me! :)"
We need SB temp tattoos or pins to id ourselves. Is the SB logo copyrighted?
Heather wrote: "Honestly I don't know if I could either. As we know she has volumes of strength that I wish that I had!"You're stronger than you think. The Yelena inside you is just waiting to be needed. There's stuff we've done & wondered how we did it, times we've acted because we've needed to & survived.
Thu wrote: "I only have Internet Explorer. How do you get Firefox? like what's the benefit of using it instead of IE?"www.mozilla.com
Free application. Exactly what Kristen says. It's not a firewall, it's a search application with protections built into it. Recommend anyone using a PC to look into it. Between using Explorer & Firefox, I'll choose Firefox any time.
As with any scam, if it's too good to be true, it isn't. Report as spam any unrequested offers & delete them upfront.
I'd think that a Master Magician would stay in the tower. Only the title would change. It is not like the First Magician has a penthouse whereas the others have a cloister room...or do they?
Meme wrote: "yes there is allot that could be compared to the lord of the rings in brisingr, I'm hoping that the last book it better, I think Eragon in my favorite out of all three"Christopher Paolini is a really nice guy, too. Appreciates librarians.
Went to the Poisoned Pen today. Preordered my copy. Looking forward to meeting everyone who can attend.
That is absolutely fantastic, Maria! Thank you for the advance notice. I'll do my absolute best to be there!
