8565 I'm going to read Rebel Angels by Libba Bray. I've had it on order at the library for a while so it should come in soon.

8565 I JUST picked up Case Histories from the library yesterday, so I will be running a little behind. I have to finish American Gods first.

8565 Kristina- Great list!

You may have inspired me for 2009...

8565 I'm enjoying the Fall challenge with TNBBC, but I only set a personal goal for myself of 100 points, which wasn't that hard to do. I enjoyed looking for books to fit in the categories, and was able to choose things that were already on the TBR pile anyway, so I'm just having fun with it.

8565 I have been wanting to read Kate Atkinson's Case Histories for a while, so I will read that one.

The Thirteeth Tale gets another plug from me... I really liked it.

I also really liked The Historian

8565 Hmmm... these are really tough for me. There are very few books I will read a second or a third (or more) time, unless it is a series and then I have a ritual of reading all the books to prepare for the release of a new one (like the Harry Potter series). These books, however, I read again because I just love them. But I also read them over and over as a kid/teen. I haven't had a chance to see if I still really love them.

1. Dune
2. The Iliad and The Odyssey (can't think of one without the other.
3. Jane Eyre
4. The Hobbit
5. Gone With the Wind

8565 Hi Everyone-

I'm Marsha. I live a little north of Seattle and have been re-discovering fiction in the past couple of years. I finished grad school, got settled in my job, my youngest is going to be 8 in a week or so- so the constant needs of the kiddos are fewer and fewer as time goes by. And a divorce does wonders for your "me" time.

I like looking for that silver lining. :)

Anyway, it has been great to start reading fiction again and I love talking about books. Goodreads is definitely addictive.
