8565 Fiona, I am going through a sort of "readers block"! It is like a writer's block for readers. lol! Yeah, it kinda sucks. I want to read but I pick up something, and I am uninterested!

8565 A Great and Terrible Beauty 4 Stars

I really liked it, though sometimes the writing style resembled that of a much younger other. However, the plot line was good so it made me want to continue the series. I am not really good with summaries so kind of think Little Princess meets Harry Potter meets something else and there you have it. It is a really good book and I recommend it!

8565 I am going to read If I Am So Smart, Why Can't I Lose Weight?. I will tie it into the Winter Challenge as being my New Year's Goal to lose weight (I want to graduate college at the same weight I graduated High School).

8565 Just finished The Restaurant at the End of the Universe. I am debating my I book. I am being slow. Don't really know why.

8565 I love Nancy Drew! I would like to read some of those books again!
Dec 13, 2008 02:19AM

8565 I finished The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and I have changed my R book from Rebecca to The Restaurant at the End of the Universe. That way I can get the book with its sequel for the TNBBC Winter Challenge. I totally changed my list... again.

8565 Southernbelle- Did you forget an R book?
Dec 08, 2008 02:02PM

8565 Oh, and I finally decided on Hitchhiker and not having it satisfy anything.
Dec 08, 2008 02:01PM

8565 I am reading Rebbecca for my R book and I am satisfying if my having borrowed it from the library (that was one of the critera right?)
8565 I am sorry, my sister made the mistake of watching the movie first and was then mad that I didn't warn her properly of just how much better the book was (how could I have known, we went to see it at the midnight showing). It is weird how that is. I actually found my copy of the first book in a used book store.
Dec 07, 2008 06:30PM

8565 Yeah. Unfortunately, none of them can count towards the Winter Challenge on TNBBC so it doesn't really matter which one I choice.
8565 E- NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OMG, the book is three million times better then the movie. The movie is utter and complete crap. And the second book is the worst! Please don't do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dec 07, 2008 03:54AM

8565 So I finally finished Christmas Carol. I don't know why, but I wasn't in the mood to read it so it took me forever! I am still debating my H book... it will be either The Hobbit, The Host: A Novel, or The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

8565 SuzieR, I am half-South African, but to be honest, I don't have any hope for that country. I know that is sad and cynical, but it is the truth.

8565 Hey Sonya, one of my friends ex-boyfriends is trying to get back together with her and she asked my advice so I told her about that book you mentioned! Let me know if it helps!

8565 Oh, Sonja, I am sorry! I hope the book helps you. It does look really good!
