I will be reading The Girl in the Picture The Story of Kim Phuc, the Photograph, and the Vietnam War I'm so glad that I found something in my TBR pile that fits the bill. I am not allowed to buy any more books until I make some headway on my pile/ entire bookshelf of unread books.
I hit a major reading rut. So I gave up on the book I was on and am trying another. A rather large splurge at Chapters last night may or may not be related ;)

Book: Club Dead
Shelf 2: To-read

I haven't been reading much lately....
Beginning shelf: paranormal
Current shelf: to-read
Number of shelves completed: 1
I finished Club Dead by Charlaine Harris. I thought it was a good book but I couldn't hold onto the story line. In all honesty I think that has more to do with the craziness currently happening in my life and job more than the actual book. I gave it 2 stars but it would likely fair better if I was to reread it in a while.
This will give me the perfect opportunity to indulge in another one or two Sookie Stackhouse books. I think the next one I have to read is Club Dead.
I read 4 on my vacation...
Everlasting
Kings Daughter
The Other Queen A Novel
The Book of Negroes (for some reason I can't get it to link)
I finished K - Knit Two by Kate Jacobs
I am off on vacation and likely away from a computer for a couple weeks (Italy yeah!!). So I may not be able to update but I am bringing E & T with me. :)
Leonie:
I really enjoed Angela's Ashes. I liked the fact that the writing style was much more of a narrative than the typical memoir's collection of random snippets. It seemed more cohesive. What did you think?
We'll have to see how many I get through this month before I make my final selections for September!
