8565 Historical Fiction is one of the best! I have read 2 HF in September and they are

Bride in the Bargain by Deeann Gist
Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers
8565 My choice for October would be Odd Thomas. I have had that book for some time but have never read it. Now, I will have a reason to. I will make myself read this in October.

8565 I have periods like that. I am in the mood to read but dont know what I want to read. Once I pick a book and start reading it, I am not interested and put it down. I have put reading down all together and it seemed to help a little. I usually pick a book by which mood I am in but if you are read out then you just cant find anything that interests you.

8565 Wonderful question. I have so many characters that I have just fallen in love with. So my decision would have to be a few of those...

If I could be a fictional character I would like to be

Elizabeth Bennett or a leading lady from a Cathy Marie Hake story.

8565 My read for Feb. was Twilight by Stephanie Meyer. 5/5 stars.
8565 Yah for YA. I am excited about reading TWILIGHT and might read some other ones in that genre. More later.

I did, only b/c I am under a book intervention and I can only read books that I own up until Christmas, then I can buy and borrow and go to the library and that sort of thing. I am excited. I had a hard time trying to find an R book, but I found one last night....So my R is gonna be

RHETT BUTLER'S PEOPLE

8565 OOps I forgot to tell you the rating for [A CHRISTMAS CAROL:] and that is a 2/5 stars. It got such a low rating b/c I dont like books that talk to the reader and I didnt really enjoy the book b/c of this.

Here is my list for CHRISTMAS DAY

C-A CHRISTMAS CAROL by C. Dickens
H-THE HISTORIAN by E. Kostova
I-THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST by Oscar Wilde
S-SEA GLASS by A. Shreve
T-THOUGH NONE GO WITH ME by Jerry B. Jenkins

8565 First a question... How are ya'll marking through your books like that, its really cool.

Now, I have finished A CHRISTMAS CAROL. I havent figured out the next ones yet.

I am still reading my December Read HF GONE WITH THE WIND so I am doing 2 challenges at once, so thats making me go slow. Just wanted to give you an update.

8565 I think I would have to re-read them again, even though it wasnt too long ago that I finished them. I had 2 books that didnt thrill me very much. About the Harry/Ginny issue, I couldnt stand it, and still to this day, I have a problem with it. I wished it was Harry and Hermoine. This series was recommended to me and at first I wasnt going to read them, I really didnt see what the big deal was. So, of course, I was curious. But, this series, I have been through so many emotions. Like an emotional rollercoaster. I really enjoyed the series and marked them as one of my favorite series and I will re-read them again.

8565 I have never really participated in a challenge or a bookclub for that matter. I have always wanted to but I am scared that I would have to buy a lot of really aweful books. Books that I wouldnt want to read or would never read again. So, having that said, I have been a little afraid. Challenges sounds fun. I am not sure if I could accomplish them though due to me being a slow reader. This 50 books a year sounds fun. I might just do that as a personal goal. I wouldnt mind trying another one though. Well, I have just counted my books and it looks like I have 47 books that I have read for the 2008 year so far. Thats really awesome. I didnt know I read that many! I might have to make it 60!

8565 Okay, this sounds like fun. I used to be able to read several books at one time, but, I got so confused b/c it would be a while before I picked up the other books and I would be totally lost in trying to recall what happened in the book. So, after I read this book I am reading now, considering my book intervention as well, I think its safe for me to pick Gone With the Wind and Scarlett or The Historian because I own these books. I have read a few on this list and I am very excited b/c a lot of those books are on my to-read list. I am a slow reader so I will see where I am on this in a couple of days. I just have to put down my cross-stitching and read!!!!!!

8565 Historical fiction for me! And this is right on the money. I love reading stories that are historical. I love going back in time and getting lost in that time period and picturing myself there with the characters.

8565 Toughie! Okay here are my top 5 at the moment:

1. PRIDE AND PREJUDICE by Jane Austen
2. CANDLE IN THE DARKNESS by Lynn Austin
3. PAULA DEEN-IT AINT ALL ABOUT THE COOKING by Paula Deen
4. WIDOW OF THE SOUTH by Robert Hicks
5. LOVE COMES SOFTLY by Janette Oke

I do love the Harry Potter series but since it is 7 books but I can only pick 5 of all time, so, there is my list.

8565 Dedicated Reader but Obsessive-Compulsive was close behind!
8565 I have read 12 of these books. I cant wait to start the Twilight series. To me, WICKED was a complete waste of my time. I felt obligated to finish it. That is just my opinion though. I think SNOW FLOWER AND THE SECRET FAN should be on this list. It is a great book.

8565 Hello. My name is Tiffany. I am 27 years old. I live in Georgia. I love to read! I am a book-a-holic! I always carry a book with me at all times, I never know when I can sneak a few mins to read. I have a book addiction problem. I will spend my last $5 on a book. It's bad! I am currently under a book intervention that was originated by my work friends, they really care about me. I can only read the books I have on hand until Dec. 25, 2008. So far, I am doing great! I never thought I would make it this far. In return, for not straying on my path, one of my friends at work said she will get her dad to make me a bookshelf according to my specifications. I really enjoy historical fiction books, civil war era, prairie days, books about royalty and that sort of thing. I also really enjoy Christian Fiction. Well, I think that about sums me up.
