853 Sandman is his best work. I love everything that I've read by him thus far, but Sandman. . . . that's something special. I'd never read a graphic novel before, so it was a little tough going through the first few pages, but once I got into the swing of it, it was amazing.

I love OSU, it's a great school. :)

853 Isn't it fantastic? Neil Gaiman is truly amazing. There are more Gaiman quotes that I love, but that's by far the best. Glad you liked it! :)

853 Have you ever been in love? . . . Horrible, isn't it? . . . It makes you so vulnerable. . . . It opens your heart & it means someone can get inside & mess you up. You build up all these defenses. You build up this whole armor, for years, so nothing can hurt you, then one stupid person, no different from any other stupid person, wanders into your stupid life. You give them a piece of you. They don't ask for it, They do something dumb one day like kiss you, or smile at you, & then your life isn't your own anymore. Love takes hostages. It gets inside you. It eats you out & leaves you crying in the darkness, so a simple phrase like "maybe we should just be friends" . . . turns into a glass splinter working its way into your heart. . . . It's a soul-hurt, a body-hurt, a real gets-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart pain. Nothing should be able to do that. Especially not love. I hate love. - Neil Gaiman (from Sandman)

853 It really depends on the book. Some books I read very quickly (Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series) & some I read very slowly (anything by Tolkien - I love the worlds he's created, but his writing leans towards dull for me sometimes & I have to take breaks) I read Plum Lucky in about 3 hours & I've been reading Sir Gawain & the Green Knight for 2 weeks.

I do read the cereal box. More than once.

I don't currently have television - not even local channels. So I just use the TV to watch movies. I watch my movies like I read books - if it's a series, I read/watch them in order & back to back if possible. When I do have TV though, I watch House MD, CSI, Supernatural, Law & Order, CSI: Miami, Law & Order: SVU, Law & Order: CI, & I love Discovery, History, Smithsonian, & sometimes PBS has cool anthropology shows (I'm an Anthropology major).
