Nothing here. My instructors give out the take-home finals on the 2nd and it will be due on the 9th. After that I'm off until Winter quarter starts which is January 4, 2010.
I think a good idea would be when you have your group ask what kind of books they like. Ask what kind of genres do they like. That will give you an idea of what kind of book to read every month.
I wish they had a book club at my college.
Did anyone like any of the poems I posted up above? I wrote those :)
Books don't make me cry but sometimes I will read a book where it has a scene that makes me cry. For example in "Chosen" of the House of Night Series, one the characters dies and dies in her friend's arm(sorry can't remember the names). The scene was written so well that it felt like I was actually there watching it and it brougt some tears to the brim of eyes.
I've always beeen taught by my mom that what a woman does with her body, is her business. How does it affect others when a woman decides to have an abortion? This is a great question to ask and I agree with my mom. Thats what my mother always ask when it comes to the issue of abortion. If you are a family member of the woman who is getting the abortion then its understandable that there is gonna be some controversy. But if you are complete strangers, what right do you have to judge that woman? Like those rioters that you see sometimes in front of abortion clinics or other places who call women names like baby killers or whatever. What do they care what a woman does? They don't know her. The've never met.
Does this make sense?
Anyways, what a woman does with her body is her business and it doesn't affect me unless it's a family member. I think we can all agree that we are not for killing a child's life. But sometimes women have to make choices, choices that are best for them.

Just finished "Shadow Kiss" last night(finally). I am now going to read "Blood Promise" . I am also gonna reading "The Christmas Shoes" for a light read.
I had a funny dream where I was being chased by a giant gorilla through this castle like corrider. I fell down and couldn't get up. The gorilla turned around and sat on me and then I woke up. I think its funny... how often do you get a dream where you are sit on by a giant gorilla. ..lol.

It sounds like your dream is telling you that you can't hide from your problems. You are gonna have to face them sooner or later.
I forgot to mention that in my escape dreams when I finally escape, I just end up back where I started.Really frustrating.
I read any chance I get. I do hate it when events or things keep me from reading. For example, past couple of months, my mom and I have been helping him empty out his house and that took up a lot of time. Also I've been busy with midterms. I cannot wait until fall quarter is over. I can then relax and catch up on my reading.

LOL... it sounds like the books you read and the movies you watch are sneaking into your dreams.

What is common in these dinosaur dreams of yours Kimberly? Like sometimes I have escape dreams. They all have different settings but the common thing is I am trying to escape from someone or something. Maybe if you knew what was common you can get more understanding of what the dream means.
I wonder how these dreams are created. Where do these images come from?
I'm a poet myself. Started writing poetry when I was a junior in High School. Sadly though I haven't written any new poems lately. Nothing is sparking. Here some poems I've written in the past.

I don't know whether or not my dream comes in stressful times. Never really paid attention to it. Usually if I'm stressed I have escape dreams. In this dream, I'm just trying to get back home. It could be. I have an in-class portion of my geography midterm tomorrow and the take-home portion is due monday. We all know midterms and finals can be stressful. I wonder what would happen if I went straight instead of left??? Maybe when I have that dream again, I'll go straight and see what happens.

I have this dream on occasion and don't know why. I had it last night.
I start off in a foreign country. My goal is to get back home to Walnut Creek, California. I am on a dock near some boats. I get on what I think looks like the fastest working boat. I drive out of the dock and then I reach a fork. One way is I could go straight or the other way which is left. Everytime I have this dream I go left. I figure it's west and California is west of the foreign country I am in. So I go on my way and I go through the same obstacles everytime. I start off on regular water, I have to doge some rocks, then I make a left and I'm going down this slide like thing and it's red. At this point I'm not on the boat anymore.I sliding down and then I hit smooth water and I am driving a boat again. I eventuall get to an office like check point area and I'm still in the boat driving it. For some reason in this dream I ask the clerk which way is west. I already know which way I'm going. I take the same route everytime. So I exit the area and I turn left on a narrow canal. Now I'm back on my feet. I'm walking along and it's a wierd scenery. In the canal I'm walking there is one person in front of me and a in front her is a bunch of electronics! On my right is a wierd. It is like a a water slide shopping center.. People are sliding along and going straight and up over slides. At this point I'm getting impatient cuz I am trying to get home. The electronics suddenly disappear and I go on my way and finally hit an exit and I am on a freeway. I don't know where I am. I see a sign but I can't read it. Then I wake up.
The dream was basically the same as always with few differences. One is I had to jump on a boat as it was leaving. I usually get on a boat that isn't occupied. Second, I normally woudn't ask where to go. And third, I woke up before I could get home. I normally get home first and then wake up.
I have this dream on occasion and don't know why. I have no clue as what it could mean. The only thing that comes to mind is "struggle" . I got to say it is a bitch trying to get home even though I know the route.
Whew...sorry this is so long. Any ideas about what this dream could mean?
