8361 Katrina, I think I sent my address to Jamie. If you need me to send it to you just let me know.

Also I made my profile public (I think) and made a wishlist. Someone mentioned that last year the wishlists were suggested to be about 10 books so I made mine 10 but I could gladly make mine larger to give more options.

8361 I would recommend it, the only problem is that I wanted it to keep going. Other than that though it was a really insightful look into life in France during WWII.

8361 Anna- Gracious

A: You like to drink
N: You like to drink
N: You like to drink
A: You like to drink

I do enjoy a drink but come on there is more to me than that...at least I'm a gracious drinker though I suppose...
8361 Thank you, I hope to make them soon.

8361 Has anyone else read this? I just finished and really liked it but it seemed kind of unfinished. I read the afterward and she had initially planned to have 5 parts and 1000+ pages but I don't if while writing she changed her mind or if she never got a chance to finish. Any thoughts?

8361 Kinda like an old school library that had peoples names on the check-out ticket?
That did used to happen right? All of a sudden I think I might be getting confused with textbooks which I know did that.
8361 Awesome, my mom has a dslr and I love it. Have fun.
8361 Our Thanksgiving is usually pretty small since most of the family is on the east coast but the four people still living at home have such varied schedules that we rarely spend time together without the stress of having to coordinate other things. We always have a few rag-a-muffin friends who would other wise be alone but it is usually really low-key, just hanging out cooking and eating and being merry.

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip cookies do sound really good...is there a recipe or is it a family secret?

8361 Jamie, I did the same thing and apparently other people have too because there was lots of stuff comparing the two.

8361 I'd like to be maybe 5-6 and still be oblivious to most things going on around me but amazed by simple things lollipops or leaves changing colors...and still be able to naps.

8361 Kimberly, I also really like the Owl City song. They remind me of The Postal Service. If you aren't familiar with them I would highly suggest their song "Sleeping in"

In general though I like just about everything from punk, to country.

8361 Maybe having one week for people who didn't nominate the previous month then open it up to everyone.
I like the idea of having a little background about the books.
8361 My good news is that I have two days off in a row and it is super stormy out so the perfect night to curl up with a new book (I'm thinking about Hemingway) and a few glasses of yummy red wine. I also found out that I will have the day after Thanksgiving off which is great because I am usually the only one in the house who has to work and it is so hard to force myself to go while everyone else is still in pj lounging mode.
8361 In my opinion fasting is a way to rid your body of toxins which for certain illnesses could help. I've known several people who have fasted for both personal and religious reasons and they all claim to feel better afterwards. I think everyones body and dietary needs are different through so while I think that fasting for over a week is extreme Gene's body might either be accustomed to it or even thrive from it. Just my personal opinion though....

8361 The drawing might take place on my birthday (dec 14th) so maybe I will be lucky.

8361 I just changed my photo to one of my niece and nephew. They ran around so much that this is one of the few where they are both sitting. My mom has better pictures so whenever I get around to putting those on my computer it may change again.
8361 I love The Bell Jar as well. I've re-read it 3-4 times and each time I recognize and identify with a different aspect of Esther. So glad that you enjoyed it!
8361 is your birthday today? If so Happy Birthday.
I've always been a big birthday person, I rarely have parties but I usually just use it as an excuse to be selfish and do whatever I want for a day (or week).

8361 Sounds like fun, I'm in. Used is fine, and I'm willing to ship internationally.
8361 I'm back and had a great time, I just feel like I might need a few days of rest but gotta go back to work tomorrow.
Congratulations for giving your 2 weeks Jamie. It will probably be good to get outta there before the holidays.
