Ralph, at least you can lend them with nook! You can't do it with Kindle at all. I'm obviously biased with nook, I work at B&N and know quite a bit about it. One huge advantage is if you're confused about how it works, you can bring it in to a store and have them help you out with it. You can't do that for Kindle. You also have to order everything for it online, there aren't any retail stores to buy things for it. One other advantage is our replaceable battery; Kindle II doesn't have that, either.
I cry when I read, but I don't really sob too often. Here are the ones I really remember SOBBING while I read them:Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, especially the chapter about Snape.
The Crown of Dalemark--for some reason I just thought a part near the end was SO SAD.
I cried last night when I read the end of The Tequila Worm, too.
Haha. I'd TOTALLY go to Utah, it would give me an excuse to go there. Utah's got my vote. As long as I can get some time off/afford the plane ticket.
Good luck Jamie! Merry Christmas, I hope your holiday goes well and with no one wanting to kill a family member.
I've read about it, but I also read that it's the parents who are making so popular, and not kids asking for it.
When are we supposed to reveal ourselves to our santas? I still haven't gotten mine yet so I don't want it to be spoiled! :)
I get mad when I get B's too haha. It really does mess up your GPA if you have all A's. If I hadn't gone to London (the grading was harder there) I'd probably have graduated summa cum laude.

I guess Twilight is all the craze for that age group, and my little cousin, Baylie really wants to read vampire books. However..."For younger girls, if she just likes the vampire books, try the My Sister the Vampire series, Bunnicula, or even The Vampire Diaries (though that one does have a few inappropriate scenes). If you're not worried about books that have a bit more violence, Amelia Atwater-Rhodes' books are good too.
Last year my uncle got drunk; he went to go sit in a chair and just COMPLETELY missed it. It was pretty hilarious. Our lines at B&N go really fast, we're pretty good with the fast cashiering. Though some people are just so incredibly rude it really gets to me. Today I tried to call upstairs to get someone to look for a book for someone on the phone, and ended up answering the phone TWICE by accident b/c people kept calling. And a customer practically shoved a woman out of the way in his haste to get to the desk before her; it was unbelievable. I told the woman I couldn't believe he did that, but she was like, "well with people like that arguing with them will just make the situation worse." She's right, but I'd have been pissed if it was me. I was pretty angry anyway, and if I hadn't been on the phone I'd have told him to wait his turn.
Yeah, the small boxes are the cheapest but you can't fit much in them. The envelope can fit more and it costs the same. Medium ones are $10.35 and large ones are $13.95. But it's different if you send it internationally?
In response to Kimberly: LIES we have been SLAMMED this entire week! Haha. There are always lines to get to a computer, and people always seem to be looking for extremely obscure books that I don't know off the top of my head. I'm sorry you had trouble finding someone to help you Tami, it gets to the point where we are helping at least one person on the phone and one in the store. I lost track a couple of times yesterday.
You can't download them from a variety of sellers, only bn.com. You can lend a book out for two weeks though, but only once.
Jamie, you should get nook instead... lol. Though they aren't shipping out until Feb 1 now. But they are a little different and you can get around 500,000 books for free (anything on Google books). (Can you tell I've been trying to sell these for a while now?)
