I'm being slammed with work also. I have this huge project to work on plus a few tests this week. I don't know if all my professors just meet and decide to have everythign all on the same day/week..but this is ridiculous.
I think I'm going to go back to school although I have been thinking about just taking off and traveling. I'll need to get a job before I do that. lol
Wow..I feeel old too. I think I was one of the first people to join this group. I haven't been on in a while and I am sooo surprised to see how large it has grown. :)
I guess I'll take the last spot.I haven't been on here in a while.I just kinda forgot about Goodreads but I'm happy to be back! :)
Anyways, because I'm trying to tackle the 1001 reads before you die list, I'm going to nominate:
The Story of Lucy Gault by William Trevor
I've been lurking alot. Sometimes I don't come here for a while and then I get too self conscious because there are so many new people and I don't want to just jump right into a conversation. I should get over that one.
Hmm good topic.I really like the first line of Slaughterhouse Five-- All this happened, more or less.
Another good first line I remember liking was from Cat's Eye:
Time is not a line but a dimension, like the dimensions of space.
I regret not learning to change a flat tire ( I needed this skill last month), not taking drawing classes, and not learning certain math skills but rather copying homework when i was in middle school/high school. haha
One time I came out of the bathroom at a party with toilet paper hanging out of my pants. I may have been slightly drunk. lolWhat is your worst habit?
