I've been searching for some good book blogs/book giveaway blogs..so I was wondering if you all knew of any? What are some of your other favorite book related websites? Anybody use Shelfari or LibraryThing?

I loathed Jessica Z.. I don't know why. I just really hated it. The characters bothered me alot for some reason..along with how the dialogue was.
Do any of you find that your top 5 books change frequently?
I've been reading one fiction book and one non-fiction book simultaneously lately. I normally am a one book kinda girl but lately I have been trying to do that.
Interesting topic. I'm not sure honestly. I guess it depends on what expectations the two people going into the marriage have for it.
Oh and I've heard from people who have finished Her Fearful Symmetry that it's a good read during the Halloween/fall time.

Alot of times I have specific books I am buying but occasionally I will pick up a book because it's cover and buy it or borrow it from the library. Some covers I like:

I didn't know that Whip it was based on a book either. I guess a ton of movies are these days.
I'm in 7 different groups..this is the only one I'm active in. I just lurk in the others or occasionnally post. I think sometimes the sheer size of some of them gets me and I feel like nobody would ever notice a post of mine. And then there are some of them that are just not active enough. This group is just a nice happy medium between the two..and not to mention that we are all the same age basically and have alot to talk about!

I really think the group has grown wonderfully. There are soo many intersting topics to choose from and I feel like we have a nice little place here.
The only thing I hate is how many members we have. It's not that I wouldn't like a lot of members..but I feel like maybe there are only 40 really active members..I think it's intimidating how many members it looks like we have but we don't really. I feel like for a while I was missing and when I came back I was really intimidated to post anything because of the numbers..but then I realized that it wasn't really that many people.
