8361 I'm so happy that it is Thanksgiving! I'm here with my family and having a blast.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
8361 I'm reading Slaughter House Five. I've been listening to the audio book.

8361 So what did you all think of the finale?

I'm so excited that Donny won! He was so entertaining to watch perform. It was adorable that the first thing he did was go running off stage a pick up his wife. So cute. Kelly was my first choice, I wanted her to win. Donny was second. Mya was very talented, but I just didn't enjoy watching her perform as much. Kelly had just so much genuineness about her that you can't help but love her. And she improved the most out of all of them.

I squealed like a girl when Donny sang. I grew up listing to his music, and "Puppy Love" was my favorite. :D

8361 Lori, one thing that I've done before, and a couple of my friends have done is that next time he texts you reply back and ask who it is. That'll make him think you've deleted his number from your phone. It's worked for me before. They usually get the hint and will leave you alone.

Of course simply ignoring him will probably work too. I'm sorry you have to deal with him! What a pain!

8361 By the way, my condolences go out to anyone going to school in California. I heard about the 30% increase in tuition.

8361 I have a 95' Mercury Tracer.
8361 I just started reading Elantris. I finally bought it after Michelle recommended it. I'm only 70ish pages into it but I'm loving it so far. It's completely different than other fantasy novels I've read.

8361 Ouch Jamie! I hate that! Last year about this time I had a couple of minor problems with my car, took it into the mechanic and ended up paying $1,500. I ended up replacing the tires as well, and one of the tires is already giving me grief. It keeps going flat. I'll have to take it into the mechanic this week.

8361 I've never had the dreams where I forget to wear clothes, but I have had dreams where I'll be at school or work and realize I have a huge rip in my shirt, or my pants have a hole.

Drew, that's crazy! Especially since you haven't read the Harry Potter books.

8361 Oh and I forgot to add, if you live at a higher altitude like I do, add an extra 1/2 cup to 3/4 a cup of flour. It makes them a bit fluffier.
8361 Ok, here is the recipe I promised! I posted it in the recipe thread.

8361 Ok, here is the Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies recipe that I promised to post. :)

Ingredients
1 cup canned pumpkin
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 egg
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon milk
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Directions

Combine pumpkin, sugar, vegetable oil, and egg. In a separate bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, ground cinnamon, and salt. Dissolve the baking soda with the milk and stir in. Add flour mixture to pumpkin mixture and mix well.
Add vanilla, chocolate chips and nuts.
Drop by spoonful on greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for approximately 10 minutes or until lightly brown and firm.

And they are wonderful! My cousins ate 6 dozen of them in about a day just between the two of them!

I checked out the link and they've asked people to stop sending cards because it's become overwhelming. :(

8361 I had a dream last night that I got my final test back in Math and received a 20. Ouch. Don't need any help translating that!

lol, Tahleen are you like me and you buy books and then don't read them for months? I finally created a shelf for "books-i-own-i-need-to-read" so that I could keep track.

Maybe for those who have their profiles set to friends only can post their wish-list here in this thread.

8361 I'm so excited for the day after Thanksgiving! I'll be with my family in Arizona. It's one of the best times of the year to be there, temperatures from the mid-50's to low 70's. And I'll be with all of my family and can spend plenty of time reading, spending time with my family, and getting pampered by my Grandmother. (she makes THE best pumpkin chocolate chip cookies) :D And we always have the best food at Thankgiving! (I was blessed to be born into a family with fantastic cooks)
