there is no way in hell i could read this book on a dark, stormy night alone!! i didn't think that a whole lot of the book was scary but the parts that were really freaked me out! I remember being in the bathroom brushing my teeth and i kept looking behind me cuz vampires don't have reflections!!
thank you everyone for the kind words. i'm mostly just so angry. i mean, i'm a big kid, i know people die but he was 58 and all because some asshole doctor didn't know how to treat cancer. the funeral was really weird because they must have stuff his face or something, i dunno. he's looked nothing like he had for the last month of his life, he was so skinny..
my dad died on the 31 of july and i'm still in utter shock about it. it's just so fucking weird that he's not there anymore =(
i NEVER notice mistakes in books by i caught some in the twilight books. in one bella makes her dad pancakes and then a few lines down he scowls into his cereal bowl. WTF!

I never TOUCHED Breaking Dawn) af..."i LOVED jacob too. it's good you never read breaking dawn because she RUINS him in that book. it was horrible. i really wish that the boy who plays jacob in the movies would hurry up and stop being underage so i won't feel like a creeper when i drool over him. le sigh
lol, yeah! i figured if i was going to do it, i'll do it right! i spend about 3-4 hours a day at my desk so it shouldn't be too bad.
i just started listening to the audio book (unabridged) today at work. i'm only about an hour in but i really like it so far!

i love the soundtrack for hedwig and the angry inch. i listen to it all the time!
i saw most of but i'm a cheerleader, but missed the first bit so i need to see the whole thing. from what i saw, i really liked it!
my brother has been obsessed with this for awhile. he finally got me to watch it the other day. i thought it was okay. i dunno, it ended kind of weird. i think the thing i liked most is the fact that felicia day is in it cuz i totally have a crush on her.
it says in the book that august was a paranoid schizophrenic, which would explain why he FLIPPED when he saw marlena and jacob in the tent together, although he wasn't really that far from the truth. he seemed to have anger management control issues too. the only time i really liked marlena was when she fought to kept her horses. that was her one and only shinning moment for me.

i agree with you about young jacob. he was very saint-like and innocent to the point were he was boring. i did like old jacob though. i didn't think he was that rude, just old. however, my favorite character was August. yes he was a complete psycho but he was so damnn interesting to me. i actually felt sort of sorry for him when his wife left him, not that i blame her at all, but i think he really loved her. he was just an effed up person. i mean, uncle al did some messed up stuff too and he doesn't even have a mental disorder as an excuse.
i can't decide what made me the most sad, when walter died or when jacob's family forgot to take him to the circus. i teared up a bit at both parts. i wasn't sad when camel died though. i like him but i figured he was better off dead anyway.
haha, i can tell you that is not true cuz lots of people come back looking for it. usually they are SOL though.
i work at a library and i think once someone found a $100 bill in a book. i don't understand why people would leave MONEY in a LIBRARY book, but it happens every so often.
is anyone listening to the audiobook? i LOVE it. the 93 year old narrator sounds like the most crotchety old man ever.
I took that quiz and here are my top three:1. Secular Humanism (100%)
2. Unitarian Universalism (95%)
3. Nontheist (78%)
I'm going to go against the grain here and say I loved Josh. He's completely fascinated me. I knew Josh was pretty out there (artist, helloooo!) but I had a hard time believing that he could have done those bombings. Patrick could be walked over all day long, IMO. That kind of guy just bores me to be honest.
I agree with you, Audra. He does a beautiful job writing from a woman's POV. It says he's married, so I assume that just being married helped him get more in touch with how women think.
I don't think Jess drinks that much. I have a beer or two every night with dinner. I don't really drink it to get drunk. I drink it cos it tastes good.
I think what makes it even worse is that the slang isn't just used in the dialogue, it's also used in the narration. It also continues into Specials. THERE IS NO ESCAPE
