8322 Hi Sholanda,

I went to the link to check out the site in the hopes of joining. A message came up saying the site wanted to use something called "gears" to store my information. Do you know what that is all about?

I'd love to participate, but am leery of any sites that want to grab personal information from my computer.

Can you explain?

Best, Keta

8322 Hi Everyone,
I hope everyone is having a wonderful fall and getting ready to spend some time with family and friends if you celebrate Thanksgiving. Here, in the Midwest we're having some FAB weather for November. It promises to be in the 50's all week, highly unusual for this time of year. NO SNOW yet -- Woohoo!
Here's what I'm reading these days. Due to a short attention span, I always have 3-4 books going at one time, yes, that's true. I jump back and forth.
Drawn Into Darkness, Annette McCleave (fantastic - I'm loving it)
Enchantress Mine (an old Beatrice Small -- sort of holding my attention)
Slave to Sensation (Nalina Singh - so far very good)
And now on to my review for Crossroads: Showdown the third novella in the best-selling trilogy at PHAZE , http://www.king-cart.com/Phaze/product=C...
Partial Review from Seriously Reviewed. Read the full review here: http://seriouslyreviewed.blogspot.com/20...
BLURB:
Blurb: Tough PI, Frank McGuire, attempts to help the FBI locate three abducted children from a small town in West Virginia. While channeling his inner spirt for assistance, he mistakenly calls forth a ghost. As Frank races against time to locate the missing girls, he receives help from the most unlikely of sources. To complicate matters, Rand has decided its time Frank commit to their relationship -- or run the risk of Rand being gone when he returns.

Review: My heart is still pounding. This is the best suspense I have read in a long time. The action was non-stop. The twists and turns came out of the blue and left me breathless. The psychic elements were wonderful and the ending was brilliant. Not overdone, no long drawn out scenes. It was simply wonderful.

Both Frank and Rand are well thought out, the sex is hot and vividly described. When they are together, it’s raw yet beautiful. I can’t call it a complaint, because I loved the story as is. But it is the suspense of the book that carries the story. The “Romantic” part of “Romantic Suspense” is not an integral part of SHOWDOWN. But even without a strong romance within the story, it still a book to stay on the keeper shelf. The story stands alone, but I think I want to truly get to know the characters. So I’m off to read the first two in the series, Crossroads and Crossroads: Revisited.
Thanks so much for reading. Stay Safe and Have a WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING,
Best, Keta

8322 Hi Dave,

Thank you for the note.

Let's try this again.

Here is the link below.

If you scroll down a bit you will see two white boxes. One says submissions on line, the other voting I think.

Click on the online submissions white box and all the excerpts (numbered) will pop up.

I'm sorry. I should have been more explicit.

Posting link again. Thank you so much for at least taking the time to read.

8322 I'm posting a LINK to a great contest held every year called the Scarlet Boa (held by Stella Cameron, NY author)

I just posted two entries on my blog for fellow authors who submitted to the Scarlet Boa Contest. Held every year by Stella Cameron there is no charge to post an excerpt. The finalists are decided by votes. I would also like to think the entries are judged by MERIT and not popularity.

Can you please take a moment to read two short excerpt and IF (only if) you feel they deserve to be in the finals, cast your vote?

I know it's a pain to go to a web site and cast a vote, but this is a great PARANORMAL contest and the winning entry will be read by a NY publishing house.

HERE'S THE TWO ENTRIES I'D LIKE YOU TO READ:

NUMBER 90 and NUMBER 110.

IF you like them, could you cast your vote?

HERE'S THE LINK: http://www.stellacameron.com/scarletboa2...

GRACIAS, Keta Diablo

8322 Okay, Debra and Dave, I agree with both of you on some points. Glad you had a loveable, peaceful discussion (lol)

8322 Happy Fall to everyone!
Popping in to let you know Ravenous Romance and Home Shopping Network have joined forces and are offering select RR books for sale on HSN.
Watch the video of Holly Schmidt, owner of RR as she discusses the books selected in the historical, paranormal and contempory genres. There's also a sample pack if you can't decide what genre to pick.
Land of Falling Stars was selected to appear in both the Historical selection and the SAMPLE pack. I owe this great opportunity to all the wonderful readers and bloggers who helped make the book a great success.
Link to Home Shopping Network: http://electronics.hsn.com/escape-with-r...
I'd also like to invite everyone to join the Ravenous Romance Ning. You do not have to write for RR to join (Authors). Here you'll meet other bloggers, readers and writers who love to talk about the publishing industry. We encourage authors to talk about their recent releases and their works in progress no matter who you write for.
Lori Perkins will soon be holding a chat on the Ning, and I'm sure there are a lot of writers who'd like to pick her brain about how to get an agent.
Here's the link to join: http://rrauthors.ning.com
Hope to see you there!

8322 Liked YOUR stories listed on your blog/web site Laurel. I too was awarded Book of the Month from PNR in June for Where The Rain is Made, a book written under my pseudosym, K. Celeste Bryan. Congrats to you!

I've linked you now under Keta's Author Friends on Keta's Keep, http://ketaskeep.blogspot.com

Hope it brings you traffic.

8322 Hi Laurel, I must confess -- as of yet, because it just came out -- I have only read MY story in the antho. Will try to read the entire tonight. I don't think the stories are your typical romance vignettes, but rather first time encounters with Vamps. My story, The Sin Eater's Prince is romantic wherein a good vamp and a sin eater find love.

So what's a sin eater? You ask. You'll find out soon.
I've been asked to make it into a full-length novel. I'm off now to check out your blog/web site!
Thanks for comment, Keta

8322 HI Joe,

I spent some time tonight at your sites. And really enjoyed them. When I have some time ????? (lol) I'll go back and read some excerpts or snippets about all your books.

You've accomplished much and your books look very intriguing.

I've linked your blog to Keta's Keep, http://ketaskeep.blogspot.com. Yes, I write romance, but my blog is heavily trafficked. Perhaps it will bring you some hits.

Congratulations on all your books. One of my publishers is Phaze, a division of Mundania, so we have that in common.

Best of luck to you, Joe.

BLURB:

Craven and Anthony find themselves in a cauldron of trouble while spying on Beresford Hall. A man in a black hood has routed them while they spied, and now he’s escorted them to the manor and secluded them in separate rooms.

One thing haunts Craven, the ice-blue eyes behind the hood and Anthony’s words, ‘Only one man possesses such eyes . . . Dominic Beresford, the most magnificent creature God ever breathed life into.’

REVIEW:

Review of CARNAL CRAVINGS
Author Keta Diablo
Moonlight, Lace and Mayhem Blog http://moonlightlacemayhem.blogspot.com/...

Warning: m/m gay fiction

I went into this story thinking it was a quick read (a novella I believe with a total of 44 pages), and I could get through it quickly because gay romance hasn’t been my thing so far. No offense to the gay romance writers out there, I’ve not read any that entertained me…until now. After reading Keta’s m/m gay fiction, it has me wondering if she has any f/f gay fiction.

Just like with Decadent Deceptions by Keta Diablo, she drew me in again and I couldn’t tear myself away. From almost the beginning, she had me holding my breath when Craven and Anthony are caught by the hooded figure on Beresford’s property. And then anxious again as Crave awaits his punishment for trespassing.

The way Keta breathes life into her characters is fabulous. From the sexy mysterious Dominic Beresford--who I would do by the way...lol--to the unassuming student Craven, I was hooked from page one. I loved both characters equally. What I found very poignant was how vulnerable both Dominic and Craven were. Even though Dominic came from money, had a title and property, he was still longing for that special someone and was unsure how Craven would accept him in the end.

Carnal Cravings was a great read from beginning to end, spicy hot, but you’re forewarned, if you don’t enjoy gay fiction, then skip it. But if you do, pick it up and be prepared to love it as much as I did.

Review:

Keta Diablo outdid herself! I had the pleasure of reading Land of Falling Stars several months ago and knew instantly that I'd found an author who would be on auto buy. This is actually the third book I've read by this author and it just keeps getting better and better! I have yet to be disappointed.
In Dust and Moonlight, Diablo brings Kira to another world in another time. A land where her father was summoned from. Kira has traded one battle for another and is faced with the chance at a love that will know no bounds. Her desire to go home is at battle with the desire to stay wrapped in Balion's strong arms of love.

Dust and Moonlight is a definite 5 star read that I highly recommend to any one with a love for romance, fantasy, and time travel. Heather's Reading Romance
