So far 86 (or so) people have requested THE TRIUMPH OF DEBORAH on the Giveaway. Whether there will be more or not, I don't know.
Plume let me know long ago that they had sent out all the publicity copies they had available for this book, so I did not ask them. But they may do so for your book, since it is new.

Where did you do those giveaways to get so many epxpressions of interest?

How does one make one's book cover show up on various pages here?It sounds like a good idea, but how does on implement it?
Also, I am looking for a group that is composed of readers (in addition to this one that is composed of writers.) Can anyone give me a name?

Dear Laurel,
Very true. The laws that made life hard for women are still there for all to see. the women lived in a male-dominated society.
But as you say, the women were outstanding. They did not jus sit around to bemoan their fate. They shaped detsiny to do their bidding and frequently achieved what they wanted in life.
This was one of the things that led me to write about these women. My novels pay tribute to this strength.

WHY ABOUT WOMEN IN THE BIBLE?
I am by profession a sociologist, and when I began writing novels about women in the Bible, some people raised their eyebrows at me, and asked: "Why?"
Here is my response. In recent years, I began to read the Bible on my own, and I discovered what an amazing set of books it is. I found it to be full of the most DRAMATIC and the most TRAUMATIC stories about people who lived thousands of years ago, and yet are so similar to us in their anxieties, hopes and desires. I began to identify in particular with the women of the Bible and I felt as if I had become part of them and they had become part of me.
So I began to write about them as I believe they deserve to be written about: stories of love, betrayal and redemption that are yet totally faithful to the Scripture.
Although based on the Bible, my novels are not just for its lovers, but also for people who have never looked at the Bible in their lives. They are light novels of suspense, with twisting plots, written first and foremost for reading pleasure.
All this is certainly true about my latest novel THE TRIUMPH OF DEBORAH.
