8095 I thought it was 1.0a.

We'd add support for 2.0 first if we did want to expand it (thats not currently on our roadmap).

8095 Hey Mariama,

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. This is the forum for API support, for general support please see:

Contact us form: http://www.goodreads.com/about/contac...
Goodreads Feedback group: http://www.goodreads.com/group/show/1

I'll have one of our customer care reps try and follow up with you. Sorry for the slow turn around!

8095 Sorry for taking so long to get back to you:

ratings_count is the number of numerical ratings a book has (1-5 stars).

text_reviews_count is the number of text reviews a book has (length > 0)

the three items you mentioned are either in the book/show api or not in the api.

We will likely add them down the road, but it might be a while before we do.
8095 How do you plan to use them?
Jun 26, 2013 05:32PM

8095 You need to include your public key. JSONP will make your key public, so if someone steals it and abuses it we might disable access.

8095 Ok, so you're passing a "review" parameters, but instead you need to do: "review[review]" and so forth. heres the specification:

You're super close to getting it working, but the square brackets are a pain to get the encoding correct sometimes.
Jun 26, 2013 03:24PM

8095 its the numerical part of that string. Sorry the docs are unclear!

I'd typical get it from looking at a user's profile url, but it's returned as part of many API calls also.

8095 i just added this, should go live in the next day or two.
Jun 24, 2013 05:49PM

8095 Oh, i mean what is the goodreads api url?
Jun 24, 2013 04:20PM

8095 Can you post the url that is giving the 500?

(please remove your developer key first though)
Jun 12, 2013 06:48PM

8095 i think this is what you want: http://www.goodreads.com/api#book.rev.... We don't really have the rating details easily accessable, i think that has to-reads numbers but i'm not sure.

otherwise you'd want this one: http://www.goodreads.com/api#book.show

8095 Jon's looking into another possible issue. Sorry guys!
Jun 10, 2013 12:35PM

8095 We didn't build that library unfortunately, perhaps email the creator?

8095 Hey Charles,

What are you hoping to do with the data?
Jun 05, 2013 05:56PM

8095 Perhaps some day, with an additional option flag. Ditto for characters, series, and setting.
Jun 05, 2013 02:21PM

8095 Were you doing a 'get' request?

8095 Pretty sure this was resolved.

Is something not working for you David?

8095 The background isn't configurable at this time unfortunately.

An alternative is to just put a button on your site (non widget) like this:

and link to the book page.

8095 theres lots of different ways to solve this. I think theres a handful of open source apps that tie into our GR email here also.
