Ok so I noticed this weekend that I was finally being able to catch up on all of the posts that have been coming in. Seems like in the last few months there are a ton of new posts everyday where as in the past it could sometimes be a whole day without 1. What I realized was that "something" (you all know what I am talking about) was keeping everyone busy. I just thought it was funny how noticable the decline in posts was.
Viola - I knew he had been getting sick but I didn't realize it was so bad.
I actaully do have strep throat wisdom. That situation is similar to what I went through. I had strep throat at least twice a year and would often get one right after another. If someone said the word strep I swear I would get it. I would get fevers and my throat would swell often without any other syptoms (still do get fevers easily). I would also get these weird sores on my tonsils. Eventually, when I was a sophmore I ended up getting an abscess tonsil took a while to figure out because the doc's kept thinking it was strep again) that resulted in my entire inside of my mouth swelling shut and I had to spend a few days in the hospital. Once I was better they took out my tonsils and I have NEVER had strep again. I rarely even get sore throats.
I know that they do not take out tonsil very often any more and were actually heading that direction when they took out mine but man it was the best thing that could have happened to me. I also have another friend with the exact same set of circumstances except she was in college when they finally decided to take hers out. She too has not had strep since then.
Good luck with trying to get him better. Poor guy. That is no fun.
Sorry you didn't get to go to NMW but at least there are 4 movies so you can go to EW next year!
Viola - Is everyone at NMW? Is that why it's so quiet? Hope everyone is having a great time and not getting into to much trouble!
108) Three To Get Deadly by Janet Evanovich
109) The Tombs of Atuan by Ursula K. LeGuin
I really wanted to love these stories as they are classics but they were just so dry. This book was around 150 pages and it took me days to read it. One of my friends loves the Earthsea books so maybe it was just me.
Hey All!
Thought I would pass this around because I missed them and am very, very dissapointed.
The Pixies are touring right now in celebration of the 20th aniversary of Doolittle. The concert is the whole Doolittle album. I didn't want anyone to miss this if they are as much of a fan as I am!
Also they are playing the concert that aired here on KEXP at 12 PM on Thanksgiving.

That was frikin AWSOME!!!
Vampire Knight Volume 8 just came to my mail box tonight. I sigh like a teenager every time I get one of these!
Viola wrote: "Jenn, what did you think of Heart-Shaped Box? Is Mr. Hill as good as his daddy? :) This one was on my list for a long time and I just forgot about it."
Viola - I liked it. Somewhere I had totally missed that Stephen King was his dad. I think that was a good thing though because I could read it without judgement. I thought it was a pretty unique concept. The one problem I had was that I had a difficult time liking the main character because he was an ass and I didn't find his redeemable qualities all that great. I did however get attached to the dogs.
However I LOVE his graphic novel Locke & Key. I highly recomend that. It's weird but good!
106) One for the Money by Janet Evanovich (Audiobook)
107) Two for the Dough (Audiobook)
Lisarenee is right. This series has me rolling. It is funny!
105) Heart-Shaped Box by Joe Hill
Lisa - my actual goal was 30! yes 30! Look how you guys have motivated me! You all are awsome!
oh wait did you mean one more to go in the series? Oh well you all still motivated me!
Sans wrote: "I'm so OCD that, personally, I need to have all the books in a series in the same format. So when BDB 7 is released in mass market format? I'm buying it. Even though I have the hardcover. Oy."
Sans - I agree with you. I actually sold my hard copy and am picking it up in paperback so it matches. I hate it when there all short and one tall and then they dont fit all on the same shelf. Ya ya I know.

Prophecy of the Sisters - by Michelle Zink
Publisher: Little, Brown
Check Library Catalog Pub Date: 08/..."
I actually read this a few months ago. It wasn't bad but it was not nearly as good as I hoped it would be. The concept was good but I think I have spoiled by those really, really good YA books that have come out lately.
Julie - My husband isn't a big reader and we often do the drape thing while he is watching football. It works out nicely for my since I often get my feet rubbed while doing that. Reading this last year was getting to be a sore subject for us too but he started asking if he could pick out a book for me to read sometimes. It has worked out really well. While I am not always in the mood to read what he has picked out it breaks up the ruts I get stuck in and it's fun because then he will sit and listen to me recap the whole book just so he can be more involved and in doing this he often wants me to recap other books he has not picked out and then we talk about the meanings of things in the book. It's kinda fun.
I just recently figured it out too because I loved that I was able link right to any book Sans had read.
However I am not sure I want anyone else to start doing it becuase I already have so many books to read that once you guys start making the links my to-read shelf is going to tripple. LOL I guess that's why I joined cyber.
