7742 271)A Marriage Mad in Heaven or Too Tired for an Affair
by Erma Bombeck

Liked it. Goes through the stages of adult life from marriage to kids getting married. Was witty and funny, but once it got into her older years I found it harder to read. I've been milking this one since the beginning of summer, reading a chapter here and a chapter there. I did find out Marabel Morgan from Florida wrote The Total Woman. She is the person who suggested you meet your husband at the door wearing nothing but Saran Wrap. Always wondered where that idea came from. Wonder what else was in her book.
7742 269) To Tame a Highland Warrior
By Karien Marie Moning

Liked it. Very fun read.

270) Grave Secret (Harper Connelly, #4)
by Charlaine Harris

Loved this book. Finally a book from Harris where the main female character does not get hurt, though not for lack of others trying. I wish she'd do something like this with Sookie. Sounded like this could be the last book in the series, but I sure hope not. Harper, the main character, has power somewhat like a medium, but she got them after she was struck by lightening as a child. If a dead person is near by she can sense them and can usually determine what they died from. It takes a lot out of her as it can sometimes make her experience what the person felt in the last moments before death. Her Stepbrother now boyfriend has helped her for years and actually is the one who saved her when she got struck by lightening. The two go from one job to the next helping people locate their loved ones, but she can only help them if they are dead. She cannot find people who are alive. Over the years people have been upset with her findings or think she is evil because of specific talent. In this book Harper finds the answers to her own personal nightmare - what happened to her sisters 8 years prior when she mysteriously disappeared outside her school. Loved the way Harris had the story unravel. Couldn't put the book down and finished in one night.

7742 Viola, I was so sick as a kid my doctor didn't always charge us because we were in so often. Hopefully, you'll get the answers you've been searching for soon. I hope it's nothing serious and he's just adjusting to an environment full of previously unencountered germs. With what you've gone through I think just about anyone would become a crazy mom. I'll keep you guys in my thoughts and prayers. Hope your little man feels better.

7742 Viola, I was a pretty sick little girl and got my tonsils and adnoids removed at the same time. I believe I was in 1st grade when they were removed. I also got my ears pierced at the same time. My mom sneaked into the recovery room and said the first think I did when I woke up was feel my ears to see if they got pierced. I have had strep since I've had them out, but only a handful of times since they were taken. Before having the procedure done I'd check to find out how often the doctor doing the procedure has done it and if any of his patients have had any difficulties. With the procedure not being done as often as it used to it makes me nervous. In my case the operation was a godsend.

Is this the first year he's been in school? Last year my little guy kept getting ear infections and tubes were seriously being talked about. Prior to school the little guy was hardly ever sick. Once we finally knocked the ear infection out of his system he once again became a healthy little boy. The doctor that managed to cure him put him on a longer than usual time period of antibiotics. I think that's what finally cured him. I think he'd be almost, but not quite, get over the infection and it'd come back. I hate it when they're small and get extended or compounded illnesses. I never know if it's harder on you or them. Hope you finally get to the bottom of what's going on.
7742 LOL Miss you guys. Need to get the recipes to all those drinks. I forgot to jot them down before I left. Tell Clouds I said Hi. Wish I was still out there.

Hey, using Firefox and am loving the spell checker. I was so in need of one. Maybe this will cut down on my need to edit my posts.

7742 Jenn, Is it more of the same?*crossing fingers and hoping it isn't*

Angie, You can always borrow it if you can't find it at your local library. I believe I've still got your address. Jayne was right it's really good. It took me until near the end to guess what was truly happening. I still need to read I Am Messenger and The Help as well. Everyone seems to love them.

Oh, or are you sad because it brings back good memories? My mind is still not fully recovered from trip. :)

This one was okay, but couldn't anyone have a happy ending? Why must everyone be miserable? Not liking this as much as the first of the series. :(

7742 Thought I'd share my chuckle for today. My Mom and her husband are once again thinking of moving down here and buying a house. So my 5 year old son asked, "How are they going to take it home with them?"
7742 266)The Duchess Diaries
by Mia Ryan

Read this one because I liked her in the Lady Whistledown anthologies which were inspired by Julia Quinn's books. This book was okay but not one of my favorites.
7742 Christy said, "I'm in a bet with a friend to read all the books each other owns.

How many does that entail? Is there a deadline or is it the first one done wins? Do you win anything?

Christy stated,"I just don't like getting my hopes up about surviving another week."

So is this because of some medical condition or depression or just because you're not an optomistic person? Please explain.
