Hope you are coping okay with your work and great that you still have time for your reading!
I met some of the girls here and we started Cyber when I was going through a difficult patch in my life, too, April. Meeting these "kindred spirits" and then us starting this book club has been such a blessing for me. And to know that us starting this group, has now led to more fun and meaningful connections, is great. So happy you found us! Thank you to everyone here, who makes the Cyber Book Club the great place that it is! ^_^
Why thank you for your kind words, Viola. ^_^ From what I have come to know of you from Crackazon and here, I think you are thoughtful and kind, too, though much braver and bubblier than me. Oh, Viola, what I meant above is that I am usually sad in myself and prone to depression. Most of the poems I write are very sad. They come out of my painful moments. So,I try to be positive and hopeful to counter the melancholic in me, and I'm glad that comes across. ^_^ I'm not an energetic-smiling-all-the-time kind of person. People usually describe me as sweet and patient. Though with those I'm close to, they say I talk A LOT. Errr…I think you've come to experience that I certainly can type A LOT. ^o^ LOL And I do like to get "deep". ^_~ LOL
I've been grumpy a lot lately. I must be working well then. LOL
I laughed at this part:
"The study also found that sad people were better at stating their case through written arguments, which Forgas said showed that a "mildly negative mood may actually promote a more concrete, accommodative and ultimately more successful communication style"."
I consider myself a mostly "sad" person. I definitely wouldn't call myself "cheery". And I do think I communicate better in writing than speaking, and I can definitely be argumentative AND accommodating. As to whether it is necessarily a succesful communication style? Well, that's a matter for the receiver of the communication to decide. ^_^
I am thankful for air-conditioning in a 39C (102.2F) for the entire week heat wave. Phew!
I am thankful for a well-paying job that allows me to visit friends in other countries, to see parts of the world that I have only seen on a screen, and to go home to Malaysia to see my family and friends.
I am thankful for both the escape and the engagement in life, that books/movies/TV give me, and for the authors/scriptwriters that write the stories that capture my heart, and to be able to share these experiences with my Cyber friends.

LOL!!!
I don't know...he IS Harry Potter, to me, and it would just feel so wrong to see him like that.
Kellyflower wrote: "oh and pretty much the whole cast of Friends is forever stuck in those roles.(Chandler,Joey,Rachel,Monica,Phoebe,Ross)"I agree!
Sans wrote: "Clouds, it's about a 17 year old in the 70's who is in a psychiatric hospital because he gouged out the eyes of several horses with a hook. His shrink is trying to get to the bottom of why he did this horrible thing. It's a very disturbing, very moving play. I have it in book form if you wanted to read it. Very fast read."
Yes, but the question is, why is he naked?
Claudia wrote: "Yes!How comes you´re up so early?"
Hi Claudia! I couldn't sleep anymore. My sinuses woke me up... and the heat. And I log on here and what do I see on the home page? A scene from The Exorcist! At least it wasn't a bad scene. ^_^
Glad Kermit and Miss Piggy didn't choke you there, Lisa.Okay, I'm off to bed. Have a great day, gals! And I really hope that darn tummy bug of yours skeedadles (sp?), Angie!
I couldn't find Kermit in leather, Ang. I did, however, find Miss Piggy in leather as inspired by Janet Jackson. Yikes!http://www.amoeba.com/dynamic-images/blo...
And Kermit in Calvin Kleins. ^_^

Hmmm...I don't know how I'll be able to enjoy my Historical Romances from now on (or the next BDB book) with these images in my head...Lord Kermit and Miss Piggy meet at a ball.

Lord Kermit denies he loves Miss Piggy.

Lord Kermit then finally realises he loves Miss Piggy and she is the moon and stars to him and they marry and live happily ever after.

The End.
Hmmm...don't know...could be a hot story. LOL
Though back to BDB, can you imagine Kermit in the Brothers' leathers and sh!tkickers? ROFL!
Sans wrote: "Jenn "Awww Yeaaahhh" wrote: "Michael Biehn = Hicks"Word."
Hicks? *siiiigghhhhs and swoons* ^_^
Though he is also most definitely Kyle Reese. No others, just those 2!
BTW That Miss Piggy and Kermit substitution is hilarious, Angie!Oh, and totally agree about "Darius" being the *singing* one of these things doesn't go with the other things. ^o^
*throws boomerang at Angie*Angie, Lover Eternal and Lover Awakened (Books 2 and 3) are MUCH better! I wasn't into Dark Lover much either. In fact, I had originally given it a 3 star rating but changed that this year when I re-read it. After having read the 6 books and then re-reading bk 1, I liked it a bit better, and changed my rating to 4 stars. I think maybe it was because after going on the journey with the Brothers over 6 books, I enjoyed seeing where it all began, again.
I heard so much raving over Book 3 and Zsadist that I just had to read it, but I needed to read the other two first. Plus, the story in book 3 really starts in book 2. I was skeptical after book 1, but instead found myself loving Book 2, and as Sans said, it ends on a cliffhanger, and you'll definitely want to get into Book 3. And I agree with all that Sans said about Book 2. Well said, Sans! So, please give the Brothers another chance, Ang.
*boomerang skims above Ang's head and flies back into Jayne's hands for future use*
*caressing boomerang* Good work, my Precious. Rest now, rest. ^_^
I am thankful to Kellyflower for setting up this thread. ^_^
I am thankful that I will be on a 4 week vacation in less than 5 days! WOOHOOO!!!! ^o^ I will not miss the feeling of banging my head against a brick wall, let me tall ya!
I am also thankful that I get to meet, hug, talk, and laugh with some of my Cyber gals in PERSON.
